Dr. Schumaker serves on the University of Nebraska Medical Center Graduate Council, and UNMC College of Public Health Executive Council; and recently completed her second term on the UNO Graduate Council. She is active in the Nebraska Educational Alliance for Public Health Impact and Youth Service Worker Training, Dr. Schumaker is former director of the Nebraska Municipal Clerk Institute and Academy. She serves as faculty for the Certified Municipal Manager Program. She is a member of the American Society for Public Administrator, having served as president of the Nebraska Chapter; American Public Health Association, Public Health Association of Nebraska, and Minority Health Association.
Professional Activities
Dr. Schumaker directs the annual Nebraska Municipal Clerks Institute and Advanced Academy. She is active in the Nebraska Educational Alliance for Public Health. She is a member of ASPA and has served as the Nebraska Chapter president.
Hobbies & Interests
Dr. Schumaker is active in Omaha North Rotary, having served as president. She served on the board of Presbyterian Outreach, Inc. and as secretary and president. Her interests lie in travel, gardening, and reading.
