Dr. Marshall's research focuses on human identity as it relates to work in public agencies. He has been published in leading academic journals such as Public Administration Review, the American Review of Public Administration, and The American Behavioral Scientist. He is currently editing a book on organizational and social change.
Professional Activities
Dr. Marshall is a long time member of the American Society for Public Administration and the Public Administration Theory Network. He is also a trained mediator and a board member of the Concord Center, a dispute resolution organization in Omaha, Nebraska.

Dr. Marshall is a cycling enthusiast.
