Internships

The University of Nebraska at Omaha School of Public Administration (UNOmaha SPA) offers a graduate level internship program geared to meet the unique needs of each participating student. Students work closely with the SPA's internship coordinator to design individualized internship experiences. Partnerships have been established with a wide variety of public and nonprofit sites, locally, regionally and nationally. A strong support system, including professional development seminars and regular communication with the internship coordinator, enhance the students' successful completion of their internships.

Seminars

The SPA sponsors a seminar series to extend and build on the professional development of all students in the MPA and MSUS programs. Due to the number and strength of partnerships among the SPA faculty and the community, the program is able to leverage a wide variety of speakers and topics.

Employment & Career Development

The SPA works closely with UNO CareerConnect, a comprehensive job posting system which houses student and employer profiles, student resumes, job listings, on-campus interview schedules, career event schedules, and other employment information.

Each student at UNO is entitled full access to CareerConnect upon registering and creating a profile on the system. Registering in the system provides 24-7 access to job listings, interview schedules, and much more! For more information about UNO CareerConnect, please click here or contact:
